Publishing on-demand

Currently, the only route which an unpublished author has to market is via vanity printing. Vanity printing firms will produce a minimum quantity of an author's work (usual 1000s of units) and the author will pay a sum reflective of this: usually several hundreds or thousands of Pounds.

Publishing on-demand - using digital presses - allows an author to print as many or as few copies of his or her work as required: one copy for submission to an agent; half a dozen as gifts for family and friends; fifty for a book fair or a few hundred for a concessionary stand: publishing on-demand makes all of these options economically viable.
