What
We Do
High
Volume Digital Printing
As digital printing has
evolved, the lines which separate this print production
method and conventional lithographic (litho) printing
have continually moved. Quantities which are most
economically produced digitally have increased and the
quality of the medium has improved immeasurably in
recent years.
No longer is digital
printing looked upon as glorified photocopying, with
kit like Indigo and iGen presses constantly blurring
the lines between digital and litho printing for speed
and quality of production. A very general statement
would be that digital printing is best suited to short
run work and this remains true as a rule of thumb to a
large extent.
As with every area of the
print industry, London Print Brokers have access to
trade-only suppliers with the most state-of-the-art
digital equipment, allowing us to fulfill any and all
printing requirements. We are competitive in all areas
of print by virtue of our business model but where we
can rarely be touched on price is in high volume
digital printing: publications running to hundreds of
pages, where relatively low quantities are required (a
few hundred), rendering litho production
uneconomical.
When compared to walk-in
retail printers who typically undertake projects such
as that outlined above, we have consistently
demonstrated savings of 70-85%.
