Many Stock Exchange-listed companies are reducing costs by producing their Annual and Interim Reports by sending them to shareholders electronically. They still have a legal requirement to lodge printed copies with The London Stock Exchange and some shareholders will request printed copies. This is where printing on-demand comes in: because there are no set-up costs on a digital press, it is just as economical to produce one copy of a document as it is to produce a hundred.
